However, the game continues to speed towards its upcoming first season, so much will likely change. However, feedback remains a critical component of this process with developers like Huynh responding directly to fans over social media platforms like Twitter. Outside of hinting at potential characters or confirming new updates that address fan complaints like the MultiVersus announcer volume, Twitter may be the best way of constructively improving the overall experience as one user found out.

While not able to directly respond to everyone, Tony Huynh has been incredibly active on Twitter, revealing many plans in store for MultiVersus. One user named Queso directly asked Huynh if the team at Player First Games had plans to flesh out the game’s lab experience, potentially adding more settings like a “Show Hitboxes” option. Hitboxes represent the parts of a character where they can be hit by an attack. Understanding spacing and where an attack has the best chance of landing are key aspects to any fighting game.
Thankfully, Huynh agreed with Queso on this update and confirmed the MultiVersus team would be addressing this at some point in the future. However, before this can happen, Huynh revealed that the studio is still working on the hitbox system, which needs to be finalized first before this next option can happen. Unfortunately, no timetable was given and with the amount of updates and content approaching the game, it may be a little while before something like this is implemented in full.
While MultiVersus has revealed both Rick and Morty coming to the playable roster starting in August, dataminers have continued digging through the game’s files for even more potential reveals. In addition to new character lines for Scooby Doo and Marvin the Martian, a new leak has also revealed new premium cosmetics for a variety of characters like Harley Quinn, Jake the Dog and more. In fact, the Looney Tunes characters of Bugs Bunny and Taz appear to be getting their Space Jam outfits, while recently added LeBron James is getting a Robin inspired costume.
MultiVersus is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
